SOUNDIAL... THE MUSICIANS
Patrick
Naylor - Guitar
has performed extensively as a guitarist and band leader. He has played
on numerous CDs as part of the Julian Costello Quintet, David Beebee's
Gaya and Viper's Dream, and has worked extensively as a session
musician for Mercury Records. His band
Viper's Dream was featured on Radio 4's recent serial of Maigret and a major film project featuring Jimmy Mystery
(East is East) and Dougray Scott released in 2007. Soundial have
toured the UK three times.

Ian East - Saxophone/flute/zurna (traditional oboe).
Ian plays saxaphones, flute, clarinet and zurn a (aka
zourna/sorna/surla/zurla) professionally and grew up in cosmopolitan
London with a large appetite for various music from all over the
world. When studying for four years at the Royal Academy of Music he
met up with like minded collaborators David Beebee and Patrick Naylor
and went on to form Beeboss Records with them - a label dedicated to
promoting British contemporary jazz and creative music. He has worked
with Steve Melling's Quartet, Tim Whitehead's Sight Reading Mothers,
David Beebee's Gaya, Brasil Universo (playing music of Hermeto et
al), New Dreams Quartet (inspired by Don Cherry), Philip Clouts
Quartet, Paul Booth's Harbour Jazz Orchestra and Patrick Naylor's
Soundial among many other groups and also runs his own projects -
Balkanatics, The Red Davuls, Ian East Quartet and Momentito (with
David Beebee). Many of the varied CD releases he's been involved with
can be found on the Beeboss Records web site. He's also involved in
music education at the Blackheath Conservatoire. He
performed/taught with Eddie Parker's Integrated Music Project IMPRO and
also spent five years performing and leading workships for Yehudi
Menuhin's 'Live Music Now!'

David Beebee - Electric Basshas
been writing music and running bands for fifteen years. He has
travelled into some remote corners of the world and is
continually writing new music in as many directions as possible.
His most recent project is Gaya, is a nine piece band playing
original compositions, featuring some of the best young jazz
musicians in London. He also runs Beeboss Records dedicated
to new British jazz 'which deserves to be heard'. |

Milo Fell - Drumshas
played percussion/drums with a host of top British musicians including
Don Weller, Jean Toussaint, Bryon Wallen and Martin Shaw, and is
a founder member of the highly acclaimed Clarke/Thorne/Fell Trio.
He played on Tim Whitehead's "Personal Standards" album -
named BBC Music Magazine's CD of the Year and has gigged at
Ronnie Scott's with Andrew Coleman (Young Jazz Musician of the
year '99), Colin Riley and Tim Whitehead's 'Tides'. Milo also
teaches drums at primary and secondary schools and is a mean
chess and thumb piano player. music been writing music and
